Roster: One Hundred and Seventeenth Engineer Regiment of the Rainbow Division [1919].

Chiefly consisting of roster identifying men who served in the 117th Engineer Regiment of the 42nd Infantry Division during World War I; includes annotations noting deaths, injury, or other information. Also includes list of nine campaigns in France and Germany (Feb.-Nov. 1918), in which the 117th participated; a chronology of locations of Regimental Headquarters, beginning, 1 Sept. 1917, on Long Island, N.Y., and continuing through locations in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. A member of the Regiment produced this typescript roster, dated 26 Mar. 1919, before the division left France. Cover illustrated with triptych drawing of rainbow stretching from New York City (symbolized by the Singer Building), spanning a bombed-out French village, and ending at a German castle.
